  • Brabus G 63 AMG

Bottrop Mercedes-Benz tuning specialist Brabus has developed a program for the meaty G 63 AMG, because it was always short on power, wasn’t it?

The company’s B63-620 performance upgrade consists of an additional intercooler and optimized ECU software, which sees output from AMG’s brawny 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine rise from 400 kW (544 hp) and 760 Nm of torque to 456 kW (620 hp) and 820 Nm. A set of the company’s Monoblock F wheels in a 21-inch diameter were also added for good measure.

The 46-year-old, who lost both legs following a horrific CART crash at Euro Speedway in 2001, was invited to pilot an aptly-coloured gold M3 DTM racecar and completed a total of 32 laps during an event marking the 40th anniversary of BMW M.

“I am overjoyed to have been given the opportunity to drive the BMW M3 DTM today. I would like to thank everyone at BMW who has helped make this special moment possible for me. I felt that the BMW family is still behind me and loves me. They showed that once again today,” said the popular Italian racing driver.

  • Volkswagen eco up! available for order

Volkswagen has today opened its order book for customers in wanting the natural gas-powered eco up! model.

Propelled by a CNG 1.0 litre three-cylinder engine producing 50 kW (67 hp) and 90 Nm of torque, the eco up! needs just 2.9 kg of natural gas every 100 kilometres, while generating a mere 79 g/km of CO2. • Senner Audi S5 Coupe

Senner Tuning has developed a program for owners of the current Audi S5 Coupe who desire the looks of the hotter RS 5 model.

The main piece of the aero package is a replacement front fascia, which houses genuine Audi RS 5 air intakes and radiator grille, a subtle roof spoiler, boot lid spoiler, diffuser and RS 5 tailpipes. A pair of clear coated carbon fibre side skirts and mirror casings complete the conversion. The factory suspension makes way for an adjustable KW coilover kit, while the new wheels are three-piece Work VS-XX items, measuring 9 and 10.5×20-inches and wrapped in 245/30R20 and 295/25R20 Vredestein Ultra Sessanta tyres.

Moving inside, the cabin features black and magma-red Nappa leather upholstery with contrasting stitching, an Audi R8 steering wheel, RS 5 door handles and carbon fibre trim package.

Finally, Senner’s performance upgrade includes optimised ECU software, air filters and a cat-back RS 5 exhaust with adjustable flaps, which sees output from the 3.0-litre supercharged V6 TFSI rise from 245 kW (329 hp) and 440 Nm of torque to 320 kW (429 hp) and 501 Nm.

The company can convert your own car or sell you a completed version, such as this one which is available for €69,990.
