Styling and performance specialist Vorsteiner has teased its new program for the Lamborghini Aventador.

Still at the pre-production stage, the carbon fibre Aventador-V package will not only include a full array of components replacing such factory items as air intake shrouds, but also a more aggressive front splitter, side blade skirts and a two-piece wing section.

The conversion is topped off by a choice of the company’s specially designed 20 and 21-inch diameter monoblock forged aluminum wheels.

Vorsteiner also provided a insight into how its products are developed. A blue laser light scanner is used to create an accurate, computer-generated 3D model which can then be used as a virtual base for the development team to work with, ensuring that the end product will be a perfect fit.

Wearing different motorsport wheels and sliding windows from the concept car, it looks – and sounds – like it’s ready to be abused. Just 20 units will be created.

“The Sesto Elemento is intended for collectors who occasionally also want to drive on a track. It is for a car collector who also wears a race suit,” said the Chief Designer of the Sesto Elemento, Filippo Perini.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive
Mercedes-Benz has broken the Nurburgring’s lap record for a electric production car with its SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive, dipping below the 8-minute barrier in the process.

Recording an impressive time of 7:56.234 minutes with Markus Hofbauer behind the wheel, the Gullwing takes the crown from Audi’s R8 e-tron, which took 8:09.099 minutes to negotiate the Green Hell exactly a year ago. Putting the achievement into perspective, Walter Röhrl recorded a 7:56 in a Porsche Panamera Turbo.

Producing a colossal 552 kW (740 hp) and a maximum torque figure of 1,000 Nm from a quartet of electric motors, the electric-power gullwing is capable of cracking 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds.
