  • Marc Marquez awarded BMW M6 Coupe

Marc Marquez, the youngest ever MotoGP champion, has been awarded the BMW M Award for being the best qualifier of the season, which this year just happens to be an exclusive BMW M6 Coupe.

The Coupe is finished in Frozen Black Metallic paintwork with matte black double-spoke 20-inch light alloy wheels, while the cabin features Sakhir Orange Merino leather upholstery, carbon fibre interor trim elements, the high-end navigation system Professional and a head-up display.

Propelled by that glorious twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 engine developing 412 kW (560 hp) and 680 Nm of torque, 0–100 km/h happens in just 4.2 seconds while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

“I am really happy to have won the BMW M Award. I first saw this BMW M6 Coupe when it was revealed in Jerez back in May. Since then I have thought how great it would be to win this car as I always passed it on my scooter when it was on display in the paddock. But honestly I did not believe I would do so in my rookie season, so it is just fantastic to be the BMW M Award winner,” said the 20-year-old Spaniard.

  • The last manual Porsche 911 GT3 reviewed

Many fans of the GT3 have mourned the loss of that engaging six-speed manual since the introduction of the 991 version, but after it was named evo’s car of the year last week few can argue with Porsche’s decision to stick solely with a seven-speed PDK transmission.

    It’s called evolution.
