    Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3
Seven-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher has been filmed driving the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3.

The gullwinged racer features an aero package that adds 2-inches to the car’s width while the 409 kW (548 hp) 6.2-litre V8 engine is virtually identical to the one found in its road-going counterpart.

Schumacher would be a great addition to such series as the FIA GT3 European Championship, FIA GT1 World Championship and ADAC GT Masters, but we’d love to seem him compete in a DTM car.

  • Volkswagen may build Taigun

Following on from its debut in Brazil, Volkswagen has hinted that the company’s Taigun concept may be heading for production after recognizing a growing trend towards SUVs and crossovers.

Underpinned by the same New Small Family (NSF) platform as the up!, the compact SUV is 3,859 mm in length, 1,728 mm in width, stands 1,570 mm tall and sports a wheelbase of 2,470 mm, meaning its dimensions sit perfectly between the cross up! and Tiguan.

“VW has been traditional in the past and has looked towards the mainstream, but there has been a lot of work in this direction. There’s still a lot of debate around the [Taigun] concept because it wouldn’t be traditional, but it is clear that there is a market for it,” said Rob Hazelwood, managing director of Volkswagen UK.
