  • Hamann Porsche Panamera Cyrano

Laupheim-based tuning specialist Hamann Motorsport has updated its previously seen Cyrano program for 2012.

Based on Porsche’s mighty Panamera Turbo, Hamann’s engine upgrade sees output from the 4.8-litre V8 rise from 500 hp (368 kW) and 700 Nm of torque to 603 hp (443 kW) and 870 Nm. Those figures translate to a 0-100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds, with 200 km/h appearing in 12.6s but, with the Sport Chrono Package activated, those times drop to 3.7s and 12.4s respectively. Top speed is a pleasant 315 km/h (195 mph).

The body package includes a revised front fascia with larger intakes and LED daytime running lights, wider, vented front and rear fender extensions, side skirts, GT wing, rear bumper with integrated diffuser and behemothic twin tailpipes. The clear-coated carbon fibre hood is optional. Completing the aesthetics is a -35mm spring kit or -30mm air suspension module, while the Unique Forged ‘Gunmetal’ wheels, sized 9.5 and 11×22 inches, are wrapped in 265/30 ZR 22 and 305/25 ZR 22 tyres.

Inside the cabin, Hamann provides a leather/Alcantara steering wheel, carbon fibre trim elements, embossed headrests, aluminium pedals and leather floor mats.

  • ABT Sportsline Audi QS3

Kempten-based VAG specialist ABT Sportsline has revealed its latest QS3 program for Audi’s Q3 urban off-roader.

The styling package includes a replacement grille with vertical bars and accompanying fascia with large RS-inspired intakes, a roof spoiler and rear bumper skirt with apertures to accommodate the new quadruple tailpipes. A choice of alloy wheels are on offer, in sizes ranging from 18 to 21-inches, including the DR items pictured here.

Performance upgrades come courtesy of the company’s well-known Power Kit which, for example, sees the 2.0 TDI jump from 103 kW (140 hp) and 320 Nm of torque to 125 kW (170 hp) and 370 Nm, while petrolheads are also catered for, with the 2.0 TFSI enjoying a rise from 125 kW (170 hp) and 280 Nm to 176 kW (240 hp) and 340 Nm.

  • DMC Aventador Molto Veloce revealed

Following on from its digital renderings, Düsseldorf-based stylinghouse DMC has released this photo of the company’s Lamborghini Aventador Molto Veloce program.

Based on an Argos Orange model, the carbon fibre aero package includes front spoiler and central splitter, side skirts based, an aggressive diffuser and tunnel and raised, adjustable rear wing. We’re not massive fans of those Forgiato F2.01 wheels, perhaps they’d look better in black?

  • Audi R8 e-tron crashes at the Nurburgring

A prototype Audi R8 e-tron has crashed at the Nurburgring this week, during pre-production testing.

The driver of the 230 kW (308 hp) R8 e-tron, which broke the lap record for an electric car last month, hit the barriers twice after losing control at Pflanzgarten between the first and the second camber, before coming to a halt in the wrong direction. Thankfully, the driver was fine, but the R8 needed a tow truck to take it back to the garage.
