Carlsson have created the CK35, using knowledge they’ve gained from running a similar spec car, in a long distance racing series.
Using a Mercedes SLK 350 as a base car, Carlsson have upped the power output of the V6 by 23 bhp, taking it upto a healthier 295 bhp. The increase is thanks largely to engine management modifications. The air filter is replaced with a sports item, while at the rear, gasses escape from a new pair of stainless steel exhaust silencers.
Volkswagen of America have reported a healthy increase in sales, since this time last year.
Compared to June 2005, Volkswagen have gained a 5.5% hike in sales, with the Passat proving to be a real winner, showing an increase of over 132% compared to this time last year. The Beetle achieved a 36.3% growth in sale, while buyers of the Touareg (competing in the fierce SUV market) fell 58%.
Audi have seen a 11.3% jump in their sales since last June. With the A3 getting a 17.9% boost, while A6 sales were up by 10.5%.

Reknowned German turbo specialists HGP, have wasted no time in modifying the latest Volkswagen Golf R32.
Using the experience gained from their work on the Golf IV R32, HGP have created a 400 bhp Uber-Golf.
Lamborghini will be on hand with some exotic machinery, at this months Festival Of Speed.
The Murcielago LP640 will be stretching it’s legs up the hill, giving the spectators a spine-tingling chill with its V12 symphony. This will be its first outing in the UK.
German Porsche tuners SpeedArt have transformed the 997 Carrera S, creating the TTR 500. Available in 450 bhp or 500 bhp form.
SpeedArt have extracted big power from the 3.8L Carrera S engine, by fitting it with a pair of modified K24 ‘chargers mounted on turbo manifolds, leading to sports cats and a new exhaust system. The management system also receives a tweaking.
