Mercedes have released details of their ballistic protection range, the E-Guard.

The E-Guard version of the E-Class, offers ballistic protection with no external differences, giving the bad guys no clues to the cars superman-like toughness.

The Mini will celebrate five years of production on July 7th, selling around 800,000 vehicles in that time.

Volkswagen have announced plans to build a Caddy powered by natural gas.

Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge (Volkswagen Commercial motor vehicles) are developing the alternative fuel vehicle. The natural gas tank’s hold enough fuel to cover a range of 267 miles, and have been tucked away underneath the floor, ensuring the interior space isn’t compromised in any way.

MBUSA have just announced record breaking sales figures.

The company sold 20,802 vehicles in June 2006, meaning a 14% rise compared to last June. This brings total sales for the first half of this year to 114,935, the highest in the company’s history.

Vokswagen have sadly decided not to put their stunning GX3 into production.

Despite an overwhelming response from potential buyers, Volkswagen have decided to pull the plug on their 125 mph three wheeled concept vehicle.

German Porsche Tuners, TechArt, have been busy turning the Cayman S into a bit of an animal!

The 3.4L heart of the Cayman has been enlarged to 3.8L, upping the power from 295 bhp to 385 bhp. While the power goes up, the 0-62 mph figure is down from 5.4 to just 4.9 seconds, and onto a healthy 178 mph top speed.
