  • Gullwing Mercedes 300SL

    Word has it, that new Mercedes gullwing 300SL could be on our roads by 2010.

    Rumours are re-emerging, regarding one of the most eagerly anticipated cars in recent years. It’s believed that the gullwing 300SL will be powered by an enormous 6.3L biturbo V8 powerplant, with at least 600 bhp being delivered through a seven speed double clutch transmission.

    With all that power, and Mercedes aiming for a perfect 50:50 weight distrbution, this sounds like it has all the right ingredients to be an absolute ‘bahn stormer.

  • Audi To Offer Diesel TT Option

    Audi are to produce diesel versions of their next generation TT.

    The Ingolstadt company have yet to release details of which units they’ll be using, but the V6 is known to be too wide to squeeze into the TT’s engine bay. A more realistic option, would be the Volkswagen 2L four cylinder engine from their Golf and Passat models.

  • Self Parking Car From BMW

    BMW have released a video showing a driver-less 7 series, parking itself.

    The company have said the remote control device has been created to help owners park their cars in between tight spaces, while they’re stood next to it!

    Director of BMW group research and technology, Raymond Freymann explains “You just press a button. It is something simple, but something that is really smart”.

  • Porsche 997 GT3 RSR Spotted During Testing

    The next generation GT3 RSR has been seen testing for the first time, at Belgium’s Spa Francorchamps circuit.

    The awesome extended arches and ‘strictly business’ rear wing give the car an imposing appearance, while the new style twin exhausts with ‘facing eachother’ tips, just look cool.

    The new GT3 RSR body is based on a Carrera 4 item, making for a much more rigid shell. The aerodynamic package is said to be 7% more efficient than its predecessors.

  • RSR911 Create The Cayman GT

    Italian Porsche tuners RSR911 have produced a range of cars based on the Cayman S.

    Robert Sikkens started RSR911 (Robert Sikkens Racing) 30 years ago, specialising in tuning Porsche sports cars for the street and circuit. The Cayman GT is the latest product from their stable.
