Completed just in time for the start of the IAA: the Wiesmann GT with the model name of MF 5 and a 10-cylinder motor. Hiding behind this unpretentious name is the most exciting sports car ever to be presented by Wiesmann to the public.

Wiesmann are understood to be debuting a new powerplant for their awesome GT at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show. We told you last year that the Dülmen based company was in talks with BMW to use the Bavarian’s award winning 507bhp 5.0L V10 as found in the mighty M5 and M6 - well they’ve sealed the deal.

Cool German car maker Wiesmann, is expanding its manufacturing operations to meet increasing demand for its sexy Roadster and GT models.
Wiesmann said that its new custom built premises in Duelmen will help the company to producing more cars - faster. Lucky customers will be able to see their car being built, then roll off the production line. The new building will also house Wiesmann merchandise, including watches, t-shirts, suitcases etc. That’s probably the closest we’ll get to owning one.
Friedhelm Wiesmann said: “With regard to all internationalisation as well as production diversification efforts, this allows us to expand the company on the basis of sound financial resources. Hence, the company remains true to the principle of expanding in a careful and financially affordable manner. This principle has been guiding us since we have founded our company in the first place, ensuring today’s thriving enterprise.”
