The new SEAT Ibiza, in its 5-door version, is now available in the SEAT dealer network combined with engines of 80 hp 1.4 TDI and 1.9 TDI 90-hp. Both engine distinguished by their low emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere-to lie below the barrier of 120 g/km- and low consumption, being associated with 5-speed manual transmission.

The Port of Barcelona’s Loaders’ Association (Círculo de Cargadores) has awarded SEAT its coveted Distinguished Loader 2008 prize, thanks to the implementation of the new rail transport line linking the Martorell plant to Barcelona’s port facilities, which came into service last January. Other loaders involved in SEAT’s logistics chain –Autometro, Setram and Autoterminal– have also received due recognition from the Port of Barcelona.

This weekend, the SEAT Sport team is travelling to the fourth season event with high spirits after successfully participating at the gruelling Cheste circuit, where they confirmed their leadership in the World Championship, and is ready to challenge the difficult urban track in Pau, France, where the SEAT León TDI has yet to be proven. The objective is the same as in Valencia – stay well in the lead in both the drivers’ and manufacturers’ titles.

The new SEAT Ibiza received an excellent rating after the stringent crash tests organised by the prestigious Euro NCAP organisation – 5 stars in passenger protection, 4 stars in child safety and 3 stars in pedestrian protection. To coincide with the worldwide presentation of the new SEAT Ibiza, which took place at the Madrid Motor Show this week, the Spanish brand is launching the TV advertising campaign for its youngest model. SEAT employees have been converted into actors to take the leading role in the three initial clips, which will be transmitted on television.
