You’ll have to wait until October before you can watch it on the next series of Top Gear, but here’s a few sneaky shots. Richard Hammond will be racing the mighty Bugatti Veyron against an RAF Typhoon F1 jet fighter plane. We can’t wait.

Thanks for the photos Lee.

Visitors to the Atelier in Molsheim are always intrigued to see the Veyron’s high-tech components being meticulously assembled into an automotive work of art. Watching the car coming together, coupled with an admiration for the technical beauty of its structure, gave the designers the idea of finishing the car in its pure material configuration – meaning no colour coating.

OK, so basically it’s just a guy parking a Bugatti Veyron. But if you’re honest, that’s not something that you see every day. And it does sound pretty sexy too!

The guys at Autocar have achieved where Clarkson failed on Top Gear; they’ve managed to get an insurance quote for the insane Bugatti Veyron.

How does £23,000 pa with a £25,000 excess sound?. The quote is for a 44-year-old driver.
Pretty reasonable, given the value of a Veyron.

Well, who’d have thunk it? An eagle-eyed forum user spotted rust on this Bugatti Veyron at the recent Goodwood Festival. You’d expect a little more for your $1,700,000, wouldn’t you?

There are less rusty Mk5 Golfs on the roads…

The most successful Bugatti Veyron dealership in the world, is in the United Kingdom.

Of the 152 units sold worldwide, sole UK Bugatti dealer Jack Barclay of London has sold 27 examples. In all, it expects to sell 60 of the planned 300-car run, making it the most successful Bugatti dealer in the world by some margin.
By the end of May 2007, 60 Veyrons had been delivered worldwide.
Surely with all those Veyrons on UK soil, it’s only a matter of time before The Stig gets his hands on one for Top Gear.
Some say that his eyes are in actual fact; distance sensors. And his heart was created by the McLaren F1 team, in their spare time.
All we know, is that he’s called The Stig.

Bugatti has stated that it will be boosting production of its insane 1001bhp hypercar, the Veyron.

The original target of 60 cars per year has been increased to 75 units. A spokesperson for Bugatti stated, “We want to shorten the waiting time from just over a year.”
So, if you have one on order, you’re going to get it a little sooner than you thought.

Unless you were on another planet earlier this year, you’ll remember the story we brought you regarding this mangled Bugatti Veyron. The ‘pilot’ at the time (39-year old Ajay Soni) has been in court for the incident.

Soni had aquaplaned the Bugatti at 65mph, before hitting an oncoming Vauxhall Astra, causing both vehicles to spin. He accepted that he was travelling too fast for the conditions and received nine penalty points and a fine of £400.
The Veyron is currently at the factory undergoing a full restoration back to its former glory.

The guys at Essex-based H.R Engineering are currently testing this crazy Mk1 Volkswagen Golf. The lightweight model has been converted to rear wheel drive and runs a turbocharged 350bhp, 1300cc motorbike engine from the Suzuki Hayabusa.
We were lucky enough to witness this car last September at Edition38. It sounds as awesome as it goes!
