Oettinger Performance GmbH has begun a new distribution operation in North America to provide retail and wholesale distribution to the USA, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Oettinger North America, LLC is now fully operational with a centrally located distribution center, a comprehensive online store and a full network of authorized retailers.

We’ve brought you all the news and rumours surrounding Audi’s forthcoming R8 Spider, but this is the first video to see the light of day. Although it’s wearing the grilles of a V10 model, we understand that this particular vehicle has the regular V8 sitting in its engine bay. Due to debut at next year’s Frankfurt show; the Spider should be in your local dealers by 2010.

Ingolstadt/Silverstone – After the triumph at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the early title win in the American Le Mans Series, AUDI AG performed another feat with the Audi R10 TDI diesel sportscar: At the 1000-kilometre race at Silverstone (Great Britain), Audi Sport Team Joest – clinching victory as well as fourth place – secured also the champion’s title in the European Le Mans Series (LMS).

INGOLSTADT - September 12, 2008: Audi is welcoming 682 trainees this year. With 453 young people starting their career training today at Audi in Ingolstadt and 229 who started the training on September 5 at the Neckarsulm location, Audi is maintaining its high number of trainee positions through 2008.

Readers of the German specialist sportscar magazine Powercar have spoken: Thanks to its victories in four classes in the Powercar readers poll – achieved by the S3, S5, RS 6 Avant and R8 – Audi has captured the mantle of most successful automobile manufacturer. At the Meilenwerk Düsseldorf forum today, Stephan Reil, Head of Development at quattro GmbH, represented Audi by accepting the awards from Volker Koerdt, editor-in-chief of Powercar and Holger Eckhardt, the magazine’s project manager.
