ABT AS5-R TRIUMPHANT AT THE AUTO BILD SPORTSCARS 2009 AWARDS

The German car magazine AUTO BILD SPORTSCARS asked its readers fort he seventh consecutive time, to vote the SPORTSCAR of the year. The readers could choose between 90 different vehicles in eight different categories.

Also this year ABT Sportsline presented a lot of potential winners to be chosen by the readers. The worldwide biggest tuner for Cars of the Volkswagen Group was already able to win with the ABT R8 and the ABT AS7 in the previous years. The 510 hp strong ABT AS5-R dominated this year. The majority of the 51.000 voters, voted the Racer from Bavaria to be the SPORTSCAR 2009 in the Coupé category.
