Inside Line has posted a video of what appears to be a test mule of a new BMW M1 supercar. It certainly looks like the type of camouflage that the company would use, but it also looks too ‘convenient’ to us. Why would they leave a ’secret’ car parked on a busy German street? Sadly, it is too convenient. The top right of this photo shows the exact car – without its camo (check the plate…)

The Sunday Times’ Andrew Frankel has been driving Porsche’s limited edition 911 Sport Classic model.
“The most notable aspect of the Sport Classic, though, is its price. At just over £140,000 it is more than twice the cost of a Carrera S and almost £40,000 pricier than the 500bhp Turbo.”

Affalterbach – Over 50,000 readers of German car magazine Auto Bild Sportscars have chosen the new E 63 AMG as the best sports saloon. In the “Sports Car of the Year” poll, the AMG high-performance car won a resounding victory ahead of its nearest rival in the “Production Saloons” category. The award ceremony took place this evening at the Essen Motor Show as part of the Auto Bild “Race Night”.

The Carrera was held all through Mexico along the famous Panamerican Hgihway and supported by the Mexican government. An especially notable race took place in 1952. Mercedes were only successful in the legendary Mercedes 300 SL with wingdoors after a fright. The co-driver was hit and injured by a low flying vulture. As a result the Mercedes mechanics built a grid in front of the windscreen to prevent such a thing happening again. A curious win which is spoken of even today.
