I don't know why BMW supply run-flats on so many of their cars. Personally, I don't like the extra cost, shorter life span or harsher ride they provide. I'm not the only one! I can see their benefits on a Guard, especially the ones with the extra section fastened to the rim. I seem to remember Porsche used run-flats as standard on their 959 – over twenty years ago.
