CLARKSON REVIEWS THE AUDI RS6 AVANT

Jeremy Clarkson has been reviewing Audi’s 580 bhp V10-powered estate, the RS6 Avant, for The Sunday Times. With a 0-100 km/h time of just 4.6 seconds, the RS6 is venturing into Porsche 997 Carrera S territory, yet could still lug your three Labradors to the local reservoir – should you want to drown them, quickly, and all in the one journey.
“It’s easy to see what caused this car. Audi looked at the heavyweight horsepower fight between BMW and Mercedes and thought, “We can stop this once and for all because we aren’t going to pussyfoot around with the odd extra pony or foal here. We’re going for a whole flock of rampaging mustangs.””
