The Scirocco GT24 that was victorious at the 24-Hour race on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in May will be showcased on the grounds of Goodwood House as well as the small concept car UP! and the world record vehicle, the W12 Coupé.

The 325-hp racing version of the Scirocco, which is based on the 2.0-litre TSI engine with a six-speed double-clutch gearbox, made its racing début at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring in late May. With a one-two win in the class of vehicles powered by two-litre turbo engines, the Volkswagen with front-wheel drive showed its potential for driving pleasure and emotions. Both of these qualities are highly present in the production version as well. From August, the third generation of the Scirocco will be travelling on Europe’s roads.
Since 1993, the Festival of Speed has been held every year in the park of Goodwood House as a meeting place for the automobile and racing scene. In addition to the Scirocco GT24, Volkswagen will be showcasing the small car UP!, which was unveiled at the Frankfurt International Motor Show IAA last September, featuring distinctive design elements and a highly variable interior compartment.
The W12 Coupé is one of the world’s fastest sports cars. In 2002, during a 24-hour drive in Nardo, Italy, the W12 Coupé broke several speed records with an average speed of over 300 kph.
