Once again, SEAT will be the official car of the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, the twelfth event of the World Rally Championship being held from 2 to 5 October. SEAT has been collaborating for no less than 17 years with the organisation of the Spanish meeting since its 1991 championship racing debut.
SEAT has provided race organiser RACC with over 80 vehicles from its sporty range of models to assist with the coordination of one of the best rallies of the championship.
Furthermore, the three sporty zero cars that will be driving all three stages of the course ahead of the competing cars have also been provided by SEAT.
Two SEAT León CUPRA units equipped with the powerful 240 hp 2.0 TSI engine will take to the track as 000 (triple zero) and 00 (double zero) cars, while immediately prior to the first competitor, the zero car making the round will be the brand-new 180 hp SEAT Ibiza CUPRA 1.4 TSI with seven-speed DSG gearbox and steering wheel shift paddles, to the delight of the crowds in its debut appearance in Spain.
This is no doubt a magnificent opportunity to get a first-hand look at the new SEAT model’s spectacular sportiness and design, which just today has been presented to the media at the Paris Motor Show.
