F1 HOCKENHEIM: HAMILTON TAKES POLE

McLaren Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton will be starting tomorrow’s German grand prix from pole after edging out the Ferrari of Felipe Massa out by two tenths of a second. “My final lap I was quite happy with, it went very smoothly,” said Hamilton. “I knew I had it in me and I knew we had the pace. It was quite windy but it did not cause me any problems. It’s been a good day and I feel very chilled.” Full qualifying results below.
