McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton gave his home fans exactly what they came to see at a soaked Silverstone today. A brilliant victory has lifted him right back into contention for the world title, on a day when his championship rivals had failed to shine. “That,” Hamilton said afterwards, “was the toughest win of my career, but definitely the best.”
