MERCEDES-BENZ CHARTERWAY LAMINATES TRAILERS WITH EURO 2008 MOTIFS

In the occasion of this years European Soccer Championship, Mercedes-Benz CharterWay has laminated ten refrigerated truck trailers with European Soccer Championship motifs. Five of the trailers feature the alpine image from the popular TV commercial “Alpenabenteuer” (Alpine Adventure).
The remaining five trailers is decorated with an enormous collage of more than 5,000 photos of soccer fans. CharterWay Rental is making the ten trailers available to customers beginning immediately – either alone or complete with a truck, and also for only one day if desired. The commercial vehicle services provider is offering the trailers as part of the loyalty campaign of the Deutsche Fußball Bund (DFB) and Mercedes-Benz.
The loyalty campaign was originated by Mercedes-Benz, as the general sponsor, together with the German Soccer Association (DFB) to support the German national soccer team in its quest for the EURO 2008 championship. The campaign will be accompanied by a wide array of communication measures before and during EURO 2008. The “Alpenabenteuer” commercial that is being shown in movie theaters and on television made its premiere 72 days before the start of the European Championship and served to kick off the campaign. Since the end of March thousands of German national team fans have pledged their loyalty to their team under the motto “Gemeinsam zum Titel” (Together to the Title). The fans uploaded photos of themselves to the website www.fans2008.de, and a gigantic collage of the images was created – a true collector’s item.
