VIDEO: 2010 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS SPIED

You may remember we brought you photos and a rendering of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class? Well, this camouflaged prototype has been spotted doing the rounds at Germany’s Nurburgring. Don’t expect any wild changes from its predecessor, with the most extreme differences being centred around a more angular face and squared-off headlights.

Expect a wide selection of petrol engines ranging from a 184bhp four-cylinder to a 544bhp eight-cylinder, with the diesel’s ranging from a 136bhp four-cylinder to a 354bhp eight-cylinder unit. Expected to debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, greener customers will have to wait a further couple of years for the full hybrid version to appear.
