The 40-tonne Mercedes-Benz Actros trailer/tractor combination consumes exactly 19.44 litres of diesel per 100 km or the equivalent less than 0.8 litres per hundred tonne-kilometres (tkm) - that is the outcome of a test drive 12 728,94 kilometres. A record-breaking feat that the Guinness World Records observers recognised with a world record entry in “The most fuel-efficient 40 ton truck” category.

After 22 years, BMW’s Regensburg plant has produced its four millionth car, a 330i Convertible. Work at the factory began in 1986 with the 1300-strong workforce building 400 BMW E30 3-Series model on a daily basis. Today the plant employs 10,000 people and is capable of producing 1000 1-Series and 3-Series models a day, including the M3.
We love this! Having owned a few Mk1s in our time, this commercial brought back some great memories. It just shows how many pies the GTI’s consumed over the years…
