MORE TARGA-TOPPED BUGATTI VEYRON DETAILS SURFACE

Auto Express has revealed a few more details regarding Bugatti’s forthcoming targa-topped Veyron. It didn’t take rocket science to figure out that the chassis would need beefing up to make up for the lack of rigidity brought about by the original roof’s removal. Webasto (the people responsible for Volkswagen’s Eos roof) are developing the removable glass roof section to fill the void.

Just 80 cars will be made, with the price for such exclusivity being bumped up from £840,000 for the usual model to a very reasonable £900,000 for the ’sun tanned head’ version. Top speed is limited to just 217mph. That may be quicker than the Pagani Zonda Roadster, but the guys at Koenigsegg can still sleep soundly.
