According to Car and Driver, Audi may be taking a leaf out of Volkswagen’s book by using a ‘twincharged’ engine in its 2010 S4. In an effort to find a more economical alternative to the 340bhp 4.2L V8 found powering the current S4, Audi is said to be creating a 3.0T or TFSI-tagged unit, which could be fed by both a turbo and supercharger. A ‘charged V6 could match the outgoing engine’s power, but see fuel efficiency increased by as much as 20%.
