VW has a new ad campaign, with Max, an immaculate 1964 black Beatle. The Bug plays the part of a TV host that chats to various celebrities, including German supermodel Heidi Klum.
“We’re reintroducing Volkswagen to the world by using a lovable icon that everyone will know and relate to,” says Tim Ellis, VW’s vice president of marketing. “If people look at it and say it’s silly, that’s a good thing,” Ellis says. “There’s so much screaming going on, you have to take a chance and do something odd and silly. You’re gaining their attention and a few moments to get them to stop and think about your brand.”
You can check out the commercial at USA Today.

We’re guessing (hoping) that this is some form of early April fools joke. Within the ‘Merchandising’ section of Lamborghini’s official site, is this rather tasteful sick-bag featuring the company logo. They seem to be permanently out of stock, and we’ve scoured eBay for one (used or unused…) but with no success, so we’re guessing it’s a hoax.

Those crazzzyyy guys…

Here’s a new kit from Gemballa for the Porsche 997 Carrera. Based around new skirts, a GT rear wing, and 20-inch ‘Black Magic’ alloys, the GT 380 isn’t the worst looking package we’ve seen, but it’s not far off. Whoever designed those side-skirts, needs congratulating on the success of their taste-bypass operation.
