REAR-ENGINED BABY BEETLE ON THE WAY?

According to Autobild, Volkswagen is working on a smaller version of its Beetle. Not only will it retail for just €10,000, but will also follow in the foot steps (tyre prints?) of the original Bug, by being rear-engined. We presume this means that it’ll be based around the Up!’s platform.

I like it! I’ve had original Bugs in the past, and would definitely look into one of these. (I’d likely order one in off-white, and be one of the first to apply stripes & a “53″ decal!)
