The motor engineers of BRABUS have developed the BRABUS PowerXtra D6 BLUE performance kit for the new Brabus Mercedes E 300 BLUETEC. It boosts power output of the cleanest diesel car on the market by 47 hp / 35 kW. The new BRABUS tuning technology makes BRABUS the first automobile tuner to meet ultra-stringent EURO V exhaust limits which won’t go into effect until 2011. The Brabus Mercedes E 300 BLUETEC with BRABUS PowerXtra D6 BLUE tuning stayed below permissible exhaust limits of EURO V by up to 65 percent.

Audi of America has announced that it has been named the official automobile of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament. As part of this three-year sponsorship agreement, 180 competitors will have access to a complimentary Audi A6 for use during the annual tournament.

The last few years have seen a flood of 500 horsepower sedans almost pouring out of Germany from BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz. Earlier this month, however, representatives from Mercedes and AMG announced that the “horsepower wars” were over, saying that outright power would no longer be the “main focus” for future sports sedans.
BMW’s 1 Series Coupe range has been strengthened with the addition of a fourth derivative. The six-cylinder 125i joins the twin-turbo 135i M Sport, the four-cylinder 120d, and the 123d that features the world’s most powerful four-cylinder diesel engine in a production car.

Audi of America Inc. today announced the debut of the Audi Forum Phoenix, a brand showcase for VIP guests during the week prior to Super Bowl XLII. The Audi Forum Phoenix is modeled after the 10 Audi Forums in many of the world’s major cities, including London, Tokyo, Singapore and New York. Sitting on a nine-acre estate, the Audi Forum Phoenix will offer athletes, celebrities, and VIPs access to exclusive events and a level of intimacy and privacy unavailable to them elsewhere in the chaotic social landscape of the Super Bowl.
The owner of a local tuning company, Kahn Design, has paid a record amount for the personal license plate ‘F1′. The Bradford-based businessman shelled out just over £440k with taxes (the equivalent of about $873,000) for the plate, which will be going straight onto his company car, a McLaren Mercedes SLR.
Commenting on his new purchase, Afzal Kahn, said “I knew I just had to have it. I have spent years chasing it. I cannot believe I’ve finally got it.
“I am privileged to have acquired such a prestigious plate. It’s every man’s dream to have his perfect car with a number plate like this.”

The first Bentley Brooklands coupe destined for the U.S. market has been purchased for $450,000 at a charity auction held during the 2008 Naples Winter Wine Festival. The $14 million from the auction sale will directly benefit the Naples Children and Education Foundation, which supports charitable and educational programs to improve the physical, emotional and educational lives of underprivileged or at-risk children.
