All the ads, in all types of media, will present the new station wagon on a stage - as the “star†of a modern opera. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft and the Malaysian government have decided to shelve their joint talks concerning cooperation with or participation in the Malaysian automaker Proton Holdings Bhd for the time being. As a consequence, there is at present no foundation for a more in-depth investigation.
Irrespective of this decision, Volkswagen will be stepping up its efforts to review other possibilities for actively engaging in the ASEAN region and further intensifying its sales activities in the region, including such activities in Malaysia. It is the world’s fastest and most exclusive ultra-luxury sedan. The BRABUS engineers and test drivers bested their own record set in 2005 when a Maybach 57 powered by a BRABUS SV12 Biturbo engine with 640 hp (631 hp SAE net) / 471 kW was clocked at 314 km/h (195 mph).

In a second collaboration between Volkswagen of America, Inc. and First Act, the two will support Operation Happy Note, a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated solely to sending deployed soldiers musical instruments, by donating 250 First Act electric guitars and amps to those service men and women expressing an interest in music.

The highest bidder will collaborate with famed architect and interior designer, Tony Chi, to customize his/her own Audi R8 utilizing the Audi Exclusive color palette.
All proceeds from the winning bid above the starting bid price of $160,000 will be donated to a charity.
Volkswagen of America, Inc. not only showed its vision for personal mobility in the year 2057 with the Slipstream concept but the vehicle also won the Design Challenge as part of the Design Los Angeles conference at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show.
“We developed Slipstream to function as an advanced autonomous vehicle that adapts to minimize its footprint in the city and its drag coefficient on the highways,†said Derek Jenkins, chief designer, Volkswagen of America. “Slipstream is a two-wheeled, teardrop shaped pod that transforms itself from an upright stance, which allows for more efficient urban transportation, to a horizontal orientation capable of 250 miles per hour.â€
