I haven't read the article yet, but I know from previous yaers that the focus of the awards is on which car is the most rewarding to drive - which makes the sub ten point gap between the Porsche and Mini even more interesting! BMW drivers will be ever more smug knowing they have a car which can get that close to the others and still take the family to the supermarket! I think any US detractors should bear in mind that our roads are narrower, have bends in them and that we like cars that are well built...which by and large these are. Z06 was in last year's ECOTY.
