   I have to get my hands on one of this !!!! Will be sure to get it in black, as it compliments the lines and roof of the car.

   I have owned an R8 for nearly a year now and have recently ordered the v10 version to replace the car that I have. It will be arriving next year. I fell for the look of this car the very time I saw one, but insofar as the convertible version is concerned, I have to say that it looks terrible. All of the swooping and defining lines of the original car are gone, so when panning along its sides, the overall effect causes us to visually trip-up at the rear edge of the doors, then look back to the front of the car, rather than naturally continuing on toward the rear. It just doesn’t work. Perhaps it would flow better without the blade, I don’t know, but either way, I think Audi would do much better to produce a targa-top version (ala the newest Veyron) instead. Doing that would protect the car’s overall styling, as well as maintain its structural rigidity, while still allowing for the open feel of a convertible. Hell, if they made that, I’d order one tomorrow!
