Master auto trimmer Peter Theobold decided it was time someone did an early Golf justice. As well as the obligatory roof-rack, you might have noticed the original TDE widened Beetle steel wheels. Inside Peter’s fitted an early Beetle steering wheel, dashboard and rear seat, while those superb front seats were taken from a 1970s Porsche 914.

It doesn’t get much cooler than this. And the most impressive part, is that the whole car has only cost Peter €2000!
