FIND OF THE DAY: SQUARERRA
Posted 26th October, 2007 in Volkswagen | 1 Comment
Truly one of our favourite ever air-cooled cars has come up for sale. The “Squarerra” is based on a 1967 Variant “squareback” - with power coming from a 330bhp 3.6L Porsche engine fitted with a Motronic ecu and six butterfly throttle body injection set up.

The Polar Silver monocoque body is mounted on a custom built square box section tube chassis, while the rims are black Boxster items. The one-off carbon fibre bumpers, interior, steering wheel and seats all add to this work-of-art’s appeal.
The £38,500 price tag isn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for. Plus, when you realise that the car cost over £100,000 to put together, it starts to look like a bargain.
Anyone interested in owning this piece of air-cooled pornography should visit Pistonheads.
Many thanks to Oliver (the owner) for supplying us with these photos.
