We’ve brought you (virtually) billions of shots of Porsche’s forthcoming Panamera, but this is the first interior photo that we’re aware of. It doesn’t exactly give much away, but you get a general idea.

Yes, you read that right. A Danish company thought it’d be a good idea for you to turn your brand new Audi TT into a pickup. The conversion kit doesn’t look much more than a few pieces of checker-plate and some strips of aluminium extrusion (plus the removal of your tailgate…)

Seriously, why would anyone with more than two working brain cells think that this was a good idea? “I need to shift a load of toxic chemicals and building supplies around. Hmmmm, should I but myself a nice VW Caddy or Mercedes Vito… no, I think I’ll buy a sports coupe (that’s been specifically designed by the guys at Audi to handle like a dream) then turn it into an impractical pickup that can carry little more than a packet of biscuits.”
If you lack all common sense, and own (amongst others) a VW Golf, SEAT Leon, Audi A3 or Skoda Octavia, then Eurobiler can provide a kit (f*ck up your car) for you too…

Britain’s fastest speeder (in a car) has been jailed for ten weeks. Timothy Brady, 33, of Harrow, was driving a brand new Porsche 911 Turbo along the A420 at Kingston Bagpuize, Oxfordshire, when police officers clocked him doing 172mph.

Judge David Morton Jack gave Brady a three-year driving ban and ordered him to pay £474 costs. He said: “Your driving was criminally self-indulgent and utterly thoughtless of the danger you might be creating for the innocent.” The court heard that when stopped by the policeman Brady said: “Oh s***, oh s***, I’ve lost my job.”
The previous speeding record (in a car), 156 mph, was set by a Scottish car dealer who was jailed for five months after he was detected doing 156 mph in his BMW M3. The fastest convicted speeder was Daniel Nicks, 34, who was caught doing 175mph on a Honda bike in Herts in 2000 after filming himself. He was jailed for six weeks and banned for two years.

Ulrich Hackenber, Volkswagen’s head of product development, has said that VW is planning to offer all its forthcoming models with either full or partial hybrid powerplants.

The Wolfsburg giant is also considering a fully electric motor for its new small cars. VW currently does not offer a hybrid vehicle for sale, but does plan to release hybrids next year. Hackenberg confirmed that technology which is currently only available for BlueMotion vehicles will be implemented into the entire VW fleet to reduce overall fuel consumption.

The Bentley Continental GTC is One of the most beautiful ways to drive “toplessâ€. Nevertheless, Motorentechnik Mayer has a number of tuning measures up its sleeve which accentuate its strenghts without distorting its character.

For example, besides a compact attachment at the rear, no measures are implemented that might detract from the elegant appearance of the Continental GTC. MTM was not looking to alter the characteristic and unmistakable shape. To add the finishing touch, the Bavarian tuning specialist equips this British car with a set of chunky 21 inch bimoto alloy wheels. However, a great deal more is going on beneath the bodywork of a Bentley Continental GTC from MTM. For this reason the Continental GTC is not only one of the most beautiful ways but also one of the fastest ways to drive „topless“.

Porsche has said that it not only wants to sell more of its cars to India, but for the first time in its history it will shed its ‘Made in Germany’ image to produce models in India.

Porsche already has an India office, unlike in the past where it has only worked through importers and dealers. So by 2010 the action will really hot up and the VW group plus Porsche are only going to get more and more aggressive in India.
Porsche has said that it expects to triple sales from the Indian market over three years. Last year, the company sold 160 luxury cars in the domestic market and is seeking to increase the number to 550. As part of its expansion plan, the company also plans to increase its dealer base in India Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.
