BMW To Resurrect ‘M1′ Name
Posted 3rd May, 2007 in BMW | 2 Comments
According to Car magazine, BMW will be creating a hot ‘M’ version of its forthcoming 1-Series Coupe – and it could be here by as soon as 2008.

If rumours turn out to be true, the M1 would inherit the 343bhp 3.2L six cylinder powerplant from the company’s outgoing M3 model. This would give the baby M enough ammunition to hit 60mph in around 5.2 seconds, and a unrestricted top speed of 175mph.
We’re not sure if BMW should be reusing the name first seen on its landmark 1970s supercar.
What do you think?

This looks like a fresh E30 with an “M” engine! This is exactly what what BMW CCA members are wanting! I will place my order NOW!
