More details are emerging, regarding the next generation Golf from Volkswagen.

The Wolfsburg company’s flagship model will appear in showrooms by summer 2008. It’ll be based around the current MkV shell, but wear a heavily revised face. New Volkswagen Design boss Walter Maria de’Silva , has stated that the company’s indiscreet chrome grille will be dropped in favour of a more ‘classic’ look.
A hybrid model will join the new Golf range, before its technology is passed on to Audi’s A3, then SEAT and Skoda models.
