I think it’s pretty lame video for a very cool automobile: same-old-same-old promo piece we’ve seen for years….car zooms thru country roads with cheezy menacing synths bubbling underneath…oh yes, bathed in silvery hues.
Look, this is a boulevardier…not a sports car. Just to play the international card I’d've shot it at night in downtown Tokyo, Istanbul,
Paris, NYC. In color- natural hues. And the music is so freakin’ 70’s. Embarassing how out-of-it
their ad agency is…like they didn’t even try to understand the car’s intention or personality.

This commercial’s all about escapism. I think it’s just right.
Why would a German (or European for that matter) car manufacturer set its commercial in Japan? Leave Tokyo for the Nissan Micra ads.
