Last week, Finnish rally legend Juha Kankkunen became the fastest man on ice, setting a new world record.

Juha Repo (his former co-driver from their WRC rallying days,) said that Kankkunen had set the record driving a Bentley Continental GT on the frozen Gulf of Bothnia, situated 600km north-west of Helsinki.
He ran over a kilometre in both directions, hitting a maximum of 330 km/h (204 mph), and an average of 321 km/h (199 mph). This beats the previous record of 296.34km/h (184 mph) set by Gildo Pallanca-Pastor in a Bugatti EB110 SS on the frozen sea in Oulu, Finland, in 1995.
