Audi Drivers Pleased With New Tyre

Tyre manufacturer Dunlop has come up with a new tyre for the 2007 DTM season, and Martin Tomczyk reckons it could really give Audi the advantage over its Mercedes rivals.
“The new tyre for the 2007 season suits us well,” he said. “The reduced tyre wear represents a general advantage, and the new tyre delivers on a constant level when used in long runs.”
Tom Kristensen agreed, saying “The new tyres provide better balance and grip over distance than the 2006 tyres,” he said. “I experienced similar grip and balance over one lap, but better endurance ability over a race distance.”
