Audi has seen an opening here, so employed Celeste Atkinson as its “lifestyle & entertainment manager.” She’s the person responsible for getting such A-Listers as (Audi Q7 owner) Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Watts seen in her company’s cars.

“I never ask anyone to take an Audi,” Atkinson says. “I let them borrow one for a couple of days, and 90% of the time they come back and say to me, ‘What can I do to get one?’ ”

Atkinson doesn’t just go for the pretty faces either. She consults with editors or insiders when she isn’t sure about whether a celebrity’s wattage is bright enough to merit a car.

Ben Affleck, for instance, not only has a solid show-biz career, but maybe “he has a future in politics. That’s why I want to invest in him.”
