VW: Investing In India

The Volkswagen group is set to invest around €400 million in India. The company’s Skoda plant in Aurangabad will be used to produce the brand new Fabia and Audi A6 models.

As well as introducing the Fabia to India, Volkswagen is also planning to launch its Beetle and a new version of the Polo there too.

Up until now Audi has been importing its A4, A6, A8 to India, but will begin manufacturing these models in the Skoda Plant, with production eventually moving to the new facility in Pune.
