Mercedes To Divorce Chrysler?

Rumours are growing of a potential divorce between Daimler-Benz and Chrysler. The news follows the German company’s hiring of finance company JP Morgan to explore potential futures for Chrysler.

The German giant has hired finance experts JP Morgan to look into possible futures for Chrysler, with the sale of Chrysler being the most favourable option.
DaimlerChrysler was formed in 1998 by the merger of Daimler-Benz (Germany) and the Chrysler Corporation (USA). The company produces cars and trucks under the brands Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz, Smart, and Maybach, among others.
The fact remains that while Mercedes has managed to give people what they want, Chrysler has struggled to succeed in a market with a thirst for smaller more economical vehicles, resulting in the group being dragged down by Chrysler’s losses.
