Winterkorn Announces Hybrid Golf Plans

During a recent speech to Volkswagen staff, Martin Winterkorn announced plans for a hybrid version of the Golf.
He said that such technology should be used in all models of cars (not just the Touareg and Q7), in an effort to reduce carbon emissions.
He praised Volkswagen staff for their input and also paid tribute to the Golf, saying it was “at the heart of the company”. He also mentioned that the 25 millionth model will roll off the production line this year.
