We think it’s going to be another success for Audi. Very nice.

This is the latest animal to be released into the community by Porsche tuners speedART.

SpeedART take a 997 Turbo and begin with a little tweaking of the engine management, taking power to 520 bhp. The remaining 80 bhp is thanks to a pair of VTG turbo chargers and sport exhaust system.

This is the fire-breathing M3-fighter from Mercedes, the C63 AMG.
The 450 bhp animal was spotted during testing in Germany, and is expected to make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Power will come from a 6.2L V8 derived from the E63 AMG, but toned down from the E63’s 520 bhp (spoilsports.) As usual, the car will be limited to 155 mph but we can expect it to manage 60 mph in under 5 seconds.
We’d prefer an Audi RS4 personally…

With Porsche 996’s becoming more affordable, they’re becoming a realistic option for many people. UK tuner DesignTek has developed this supercharger kit for those wanting that little bit extra.

The ‘charger adds an extra 150 bhp, taking the car’s output to over 400 bhp. The company’s demonstrator (pictured) is equipped with titanium suspension kit, carbon wheels and uprated brakes making it a real track-day monster.
DesignTek say they can convert your 996 for around £15,000.

This is almost hypnotic. Check out the amazing colours and visualization of this Audi in a particle simulator.

The lucky guys at Road & Track have had their hands on Audi’s R8, and (surprise surprise) they love it.
“Of course, with a starting price of just over $100,000, the R8 certainly isn’t “affordable.†But is it worth it? Absolutely!”

They praise the cars craftsmanship, performance, exoticÂism and call it ‘near perfection’, and liken its beauty to Salma Hayek. Personally, we’d prefer a night with Miss Hayek, but we can see where they’re coming from.

Some people are too clever for their own good. This guy’s created a superb 3D image of the worlds fastest car, and then tells us how it’s done.
It’s way beyond our skill level, but well worth a look.

It’s a hard life for supercar-addict Mohammed Bin Sulayem. This clip shows him test a couple of potential new cars, Maybach’s 62 S and the awesome McLaren Mercedes SLR 722 Edition.
We bet he ends up buying both. It’s really not fair.

It’ll come as no surprise to know that the forthcoming A5 & S5 will be available with a Bang & Olufsen sound system. If you’ve ever heard one in action, you’ll know the type of quality they produce.

“With the recent introduction of the Bang & Olufsen Sound System in the R8, we introduced a new audio platform as a supplement to the successful Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System in Audi A8 and S8. Now, we are very pleased to build on our R8 audio platform in the brand new Audi A5,” says Jens Peter Zinck, Managing Director for Bang & Olufsen Automotive.

We found this ‘HUMBUG’ on eBay and have to admit - we quite like it.
The owners have apparently spent $35,000 in time and labour to create it. The VW-based off-roader wears a $16,000 HUMBUG fibreglass kit and gets its power from a 2010 cc Porsche unit.

And, the lesson you’ve learned today is - Don’t leave your Hummer in the car wash for too long…

Autobild has a great feature, comparing the sportier range of Golfs and Polos on offer from Volkswagen.

Since the GTI was introduced over 30 years ago, Volkswagen has traded on those three letters - sometimes using them on cars that are simply not fit to wear the badge. They seem to have got back on track with the MkV GTI (even though it weighs about the same as your local shopping mall…)
Autobild give their verdict on Volkswagen’s hot-hatch range, including the Golf GTI and R32 as well as one of our favourites the 180 bhp Polo GTI Cup Edition.
