E-Class Prototype Spotted

This Mercedes E-Class was spotted recently during winter testing. Underneath the disguise we can expect the current twin headlights to be replaced by one piece items.

Advanced safety features will include the PRE-SAFE collision warning and mitigation system. Inside, the driver will have access to a new multimedia interface operated by a centrally mounted dial.

The new E-Class will be available with the super-clean BLUETEC diesel units when it gets released in 2009. The current model will use BLUETEC powerplants in Europe from next year.
