Readers of Forbes.com have voted Porsche’s iconic 911 Turbo as their favourite German car. The 911 beat off stiff competition from such machinery as the Maybach 62, BMW’s M6 and the McLaren Mercedes SLR.

The Porsche 911 Turbo has always been labelled as “the everyday supercar” and it’s easy to see why. It combines outstanding performance with legendary German reliability. The fact that the Turbo model has had over 30 years to evolve, has helped to build its cult status.
The latest incarnation of the 911 turbo is powered by a 480 bhp unit, helping the car to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds, and can hit around 195 mph.
