China: BMW Sales Up 51.3 Percent

Thanks to the luxury car boom in China, BMW has announced a 51.3 percent rise in sales, with a total of 36,357 units being delivered in 2006.

Sales in the Greater China region, including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, grew 35.4 percent to 44,710 cars.

Figures for BMW’s Mini division saw a phenomenal rise, by almost 250 percent to 1,057 units, while their Rolls-Royce unit saw sales rise by 60 percent in 2006.
