Future 911 May Get Night Vision

Could the next version of Porsche’s flagship model, the 911, be getting night vision? This might explain those square units (concealed within the headlights) on this photo of a facelifted 997.
Mercedes introduced night view assist, for the S Class. That system operates off two infrared projector beams mounted in the headlamps, and a camera in the windshield.
The Porsche system could work along the same lines.
