Winterkorn Officially Named As New VW Boss

Wolfsburg company, Volkswagen, has officially announced Martin Winterkorn as their new chief.

The ex Audi chairman will start in his new position next year, with Volkswagen hoping he can turn their fortunes around.

The struggling car maker needs to cut 20,000 jobs by 2009, to help it compete against other manufacturers.
