Skoda To Build VW & Audi Models In India

Skoda are to build Volkswagen’s Passat and the Audi A4 at their India plant, next year.
Skoda India chief, Lukas Folc, was quoted as saying “Some products from group companies will be assembled here, especially those where the platform is the same and we can use the synergies,”
Volkswagen will be pumping around $500 million into the Maharashtra based plant, with plans to increase annual output, from 29,000 to 50,000 units.
